Theatre is that branch of the performing arts concerned with acting out stories in front of an audience using combinations of speech, gesture, music, dance, sound and spectacle. Some auditions involve cold reading, or performing a scene from sides (pages from a script) that the actor is given in advance or when arriving at the audition.
